Clinical documentation happens between interruptions. You leave a note, return to a client’s chart, reconnect your calendar, or check which plans need review.

Practice Pad 1.3.2 focuses on those everyday moments—with improvements to handwriting preservation, client management, dates, and the visibility of information that needs your attention.

The update is available now.

Review a new risk result before acknowledging it

A new assessment result can arrive while you’re reviewing an earlier one.

Practice Pad now handles that situation more explicitly. If a new C-SSRS result arrives while you’re acknowledging a previous result, the app asks you to review the new result first.

This keeps the acknowledgment tied to the information you’ve actually reviewed. An acknowledgment of an earlier result does not silently stand in for review of the new one.

The update supports the review workflow; clinical assessment and decisions remain with the clinician.

Restore archived clients from your client list

You can now bring an archived client back into your active workflow directly from the app:

  1. Turn on Show archived clients at the bottom of the client list.
  2. Open the client.
  3. Tap Restore Client.

The update also adds a safeguard to archiving: a client with an unacknowledged suicide-risk flag cannot be archived until that flag has been reviewed.

Archiving and restoring are organizational actions. Reviewing an outstanding flag remains a separate step.

Handwriting saves as you leave a note

Leaving the writing screen should preserve the work you’ve just done.

Practice Pad 1.3.2 improves handwriting saving across the ways you leave a note and saves your handwriting before the app locks.

Whether you’re moving to another screen or reaching the app’s lock step, the update addresses those transitions so your latest handwriting is saved.

A clearer picture of plans due for review

Version 1.3.1 introduced Plans Due for Review on Home, bringing overdue treatment and safety plans together by client.

Version 1.3.2 improves what happens when the app cannot check an individual plan.

Instead of leaving that plan out without explanation, Practice Pad now tells you it couldn’t complete the check. That distinction matters: “couldn’t check” is different from “nothing is due.”

You have clearer information about what the list was—and wasn’t—able to confirm.

Dates that match your day

This release fixes date behavior that could become apparent during evening documentation.

New sessions now default to today’s date correctly, and saved sessions display the intended day.

If you finish notes later in the day, these fixes address the frustration of a session appearing under the wrong date.

Easier client management and Settings navigation

Practice Pad 1.3.2 adds stronger protection for the client list when rare storage errors occur.

Settings have also been reorganized around the tasks you use most, making it easier to find the controls you need as you manage the app.

Several smaller fixes remove interruptions along the way:

Update to Practice Pad 1.3.2

This release continues the work of making daily documentation more dependable: preserving handwriting, showing when a check could not be completed, and keeping review actions connected to the information in front of you.
